At the Restoration and Preservation Department, we're dedicated to the safeguarding of historic structures, many of which are under public ownership. As the primary governmental body entrusted with this responsibility, we specialise in executing restoration, rehabilitation, and conservation projects.

Our team, headquartered at the Ospizio Complex in Floriana, comprises skilled professionals, technicians, and craftsmen with extensive expertise in restoration techniques. Together with our administrative arm, the Department comprises a workforce of over 160 individuals.

From initial documentation and design to on-site implementation, we oversee every aspect of restoration projects. We utilise cutting-edge technology such as high-end laser scanning equipment for in-house documentation, ensuring precision at every stage.
